Raymond Jones on the run after ramming cop car and posting photos of himself outside police stations to social media
A VIOLENT criminal who stabbed a man in front of his daughter is on the run after ramming a police car — and trolling the cops.
AN alleged Comancheros bikie gang member convicted of stabbing a man in front of his young daughter is on the run after ramming a police car, and has taunted police by posting pictures of himself outside a police station on Facebook.
Raymond Jones, 30, of Blakeview, is wanted after he cut off his electronic monitoring bracelet and failed to appear on the last day of his trial on October 19.
A bench warrant was issued for his arrest and he was last spotted after police tried to pull him over in a lime green Ford Falcon sedan vehicle on Yorktown Rd, Craigmore, about 1.20pm on Tuesday.
He rammed the patrol car and later fled on foot.
He had posted a picture of himself in front of the Elizabeth Police Station on Monday afternoon, with the caption “hey guys stopping in to sign in hahaha”.
Jones was charged with aggravated causing harm with intent to cause harm after a man was stabbed at a house on Springvale Dr, Blakeview on February 25, 2015.
The victim, who was visiting the occupant of the house with his seven-year-old daughter, was trying to leave when Jones and another man arrived just after 9.30pm, court documents show.
Jones was initially yelling and swearing at the occupant of the house, who had escaped on to the roof, when he turned to the victim, who had strapped his daughter in the back seat and was trying to start his car.
Jones lunged at the victim through the driver’s window and repeatedly stabbed him while the girl screamed in the back seat.
The victim managed to drive away and went to Elizabeth Police Station with lacerations to chest and both arms.
Police arrested Jones at his nearby home and charged him with aggravated causing harm with intent to cause harm.
Jones was on home detention during his October trial and when he failed to appear on the last day, a jury found him guilty unanimously in his absence.
Police searched Craigmore after the ramming incident with the help of the police helicopter and police dogs Ice and Ruger but Jones was not found.
He posted a picture of himself in front of the Elizabeth Police Station on Monday afternoon, with the caption “hey guys stopping in to sign in hahaha”.
He is caucasian, 171cm tall, 100kg, with blonde hair and blue eyes and numerous tattoos on his face, neck and arms.
He was wearing a white top with black sleeves, beige pants and a gold chain around his neck.
If you see him or know of his whereabouts, do not approach him, but please call the police assistance line on 131 444 immediately or triple-0 in an emergency.
