From the state’s top cop to a beloved celebrity chef to a captain of industry, each of the people we list today has the clout to make a real difference to the lives of South Australians.
Some – for example former political high-fliers Julia Gillard and Christopher Pyne – maintain significant authority despite no longer directly controlling the levers of power.
