South Australia weather: Temperatures drop into negatives around the state as chilly but dry May continues

South Australia has recorded another chilly morning, with temperatures reaching as low as minus 3.6 degrees across the state.
The Adelaide CBD reached a low of 3.7 degrees and currently sits at just 4.2 degrees – leaving many morning commuters battling the cold on their way to work.
In the state’s Mid-north, Clare and Snowtown both saw lows of -2.2 degrees while earlier in the week, water from a hose was found frozen near Burra.

Yunta and Naracoorte recorded the two lowest temperatures this morning, dropping to -3.6 degrees and -3.3 degrees respectively.
Elsewhere near Adelaide, Nuriootpa reached -2.6 degrees just before 7am, as Edinburgh (0.3 degrees) and Parafield (0.5 degrees) nearly dropped into the negatives.
Adelaide is expected to reach a top of 17 degrees today. The conditions are partly cloudy with light winds.
Thursday’s forecast is for 18C and friday’s 19C while it’s a sunny 21C expected on Saturday.
