Six youths, including two who were as young as 12, have been arrested in a stolen car after they were busted checking locked vehicles in Adelaide’s eastern suburbs.

Multiple members of the public called police about 4am Wednesday after noticing a group acting suspiciously in Teak St at Campbelltown.

Patrols swarmed the area and saw a Holden driving on Hancock Ave, which had been stolen from Kensington on Monday night.

The car pulled into a driveway, and shocked police officers noticed six youths piled into the car.

Three girls, one aged 12, and two aged 14 from Campbelltown, Salisbury Park and Evanston, and three boys aged 12, 13, and 16 from Blakeview, Campbelltown and Parafield Gardens were arrested and charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle.

The alleged driver, a boy, 13, was further charged with driving unlicensed.

They group all received bail to appear in court at a later day.

It follows the arrest of three youths who allegedly led police on a pursuit through Adelaide’s northern suburbs on Monday afternoon.

The BMW was eventually spotted in Parafield Gardens, and three boys aged 12, and two aged 13 were arrested after a foot chase.
