Lucindale man, 49, killed in serious crash in Stewart Range in SA

A local man has died at the scene of a serious crash after his ute veered off the road near Naracoorte.

A man has died after the ute he was driving veered off the road and crashed into a paddock in the state’s South-East.

The 49-year-old Lucindale man, who was the sole occupant of a Mitsubishi ute, died at the crash scene at Stewart Range, more than 12km west of Naracoorte.

Emergency services were called to Lucindale Rd just after midday on Sunday, after reports of a single-vehicle collision.

In a statement, police said the vehicle had left the road and crashed into a paddock.

The road was closed while Major Crash investigators examined the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The man’s death is the 75th life lost on SA road’s compared with 47 at the same time last year.
