A severe weather warning for damaging winds has been issued for parts of South Australia after heavy rain falls were recorded across Adelaide on Tuesday morning.
The wind warning is in place for Mount Lofty Ranges, Kangaroo Island and parts of the Yorke Peninsula.
The Upper South East, Lower South East, Mid North and Murraylands districts are also being warned of strong winds.
Ferry services to and from Kangaroo Island were cancelled this morning, due to strong winds and damage to the berth infrastructure at Cape Jervis.
Sealink expects trips to recommence at 11.30am from Kangaroo Island and 12pm from Cape Jervis, if conditions allow.
All trips were cancelled on Monday, also because of strong winds.

A wind gust of 82 km/h was recorded at Mount Crawford just after 6am on Tuesday, while Adelaide Airport saw gusts of 61 km/h just before 4am.
At Cape Jaffa, in the state’s South East, a gust of 70 km/h was felt at 5.55am.
The strong winds were accompanied by heavy rain across the state overnight, with 2 to 10mm across the city and 5 to 15mm over the Adelaide Hills. Adelaide’s West Terrace station recorded 11mm and Mount Lofty had 13.6mm.
Elsewhere, 8.6mm fell at Robe and 6.2mm fell at Parndana on Kangaroo Island.
Duty forecaster Hilary Wilson said the rain is expected to persist for the rest of Tuesday, but the winds should ease by the afternoon, as temperatures reach 17C in the CBD.
A top of 16C is forecast on Wednesday with up to 3mm of rain before a cold front sweeps across the state, possibly bringing up to 15mm in Adelaide.
“That’s also bringing with it some very cold temperatures for Friday, just 13C the maximum expected temperature,” Ms Wilson said.
A thunderstorm and even some small hail could occur on Friday with strong south-westerly winds.
“A real resurgence of winter there on Friday,” Ms Wilson said.
