A man has died and three others were injured – including two young children – in a horror Hills crash on Tuesday morning.
The car was reported to have crashed at speed into a tree on Forreston Rd about 5.45am Tuesday.
The driver, an Andrews Farm man, 21, died at the scene while his passenger, an Andrews Farm woman, 21, was rushed to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Two children, aged four and five, were taken to the Womens and Children's Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
A passing motorist reportedly pulled the two children from the car after spotting smoke rising from it, and managed to also rescue a woman before it burst into flame.
Major Crash Investigators were at the scene on Tuesday morning, and Forreston Rd was expected to be closed between Martin Hill Rd and Warren Rd for some hours.
It comes after a pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a car at North Adelaide.
The van crashed into a teenage girl at the intersection of King William Rd and Kermode St about 5.30am Tuesday, at North Adelaide.
The pedestrian, a 17-year-old girl from Christie Downs, was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where she is being treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Northbound traffic on King William Rd was temporarily blocked, but has since reopened.
Buses were detoured at Pennington Terrace, and traffic into the city was not affected.
