A convicted child sex offender accused of raping a child on a train has been rearrested and accused of another further offence.

Dylan Lloyd, 21, of Aldinga Beach was arrested on Wednesday and charged with one count of indecent assault.

The alleged offence occurred on July 13 last year at Aldinga.

He appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court and did not apply for bail.

Mr Lloyd appeared in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court earlier this week to seek release on bail for the alleged sexual abuse of a 12-year-old on a train earlier this month.

The child was not known to him.

At that hearing, the court was told CCTV showed him sitting next to the girl on the train, kissing her and putting his arm around her. He allegedly also sexually abused the child and followed her off the Adelaide-bound Seaford line train at Marion train station.

Police prosecutor Sergeant Sally Francis told the court Mr Lloyd was considered a “high risk child sex offender” and already had a conviction for sexually assaulting a 10-year-old child.

He was allegedly connected to the alleged crime against the 12-year-old via his metroCARD and clothing seized from his home that matched what was seen on CCTV, the court was told.

At the hearing on Monday, Sergeant Francis also told the court Mr Lloyd was being investigated for an alleged assault on a 20-year-old woman he met on a dating app and that charges were “imminent”.

The Advertiser understands the latest charge relates to that alleged incident.

Sergeant Francis had told the court that police were “of the belief that there could possibly be some further reported incidences out there”.

Manager of the Special Crimes Investigation Section Detective Senior Sergeant Amanda Lewis said investigations into Mr Lloyd were ongoing and urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.

“If you have experienced sexual assault, it is not your fault and you are not alone,” she said.

Mr Lloyd is next due to appear in court in March.
