Sacred Heart teacher Alex Dighton to contest seat of Black at upcoming SA election
A senior teacher at Sacred Heart College has been announced as Labor’s latest candidate in the upcoming state election.

Head of Sacred Heart College’s senior campus has been announced as Labor’s latest candidate to contest the upcoming state election.
Alex Dighton will contest the seat of Black in Adelaide’s southwest after he was preselected by the party.
Mr Dighton has been a teacher for over a decade, holding various leadership roles at Sacred Heart College.
He is currently responsible for more than 1000 students as the head of the college’s senior campus.
He said it was an honour to represent his community.
“Our whole state benefits when we have strong and well-represented communities,” he said.
“I want to bring my energy, my experience and my passion to the South Australian parliament.”
Opposition leader Peter Malinauskas said Mr Dighton brought a wealth of experience.
“Alex is a committed local, a proud family man, and a school leader with a passion for fostering a strong community,” he said.
“He the type of person who will deliver on his promises and work hard in the process.”
