A cyclist is recovering from life-threatening injuries in hospital after a collision on a notorious eastern-suburbs road.
The 34-year-old man from Teringie was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital on Saturday where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
The driver of a silver BMW involved in the crash, a 20-year-old from Kensington, has been charged with aggravated driving without due care and cause serious harm by dangerous driving. He has been granted bail and is set to appear in court in April.

Emergency services were called to Norton Summit Rd at 10:20am on Saturday after reports of a collision involving a cyclist travelling downhill and a car travelling uphill.
A silver BMW was towed for examination while Major Crash investigators remained on the scene.
Road restrictions were in place for several hours but have since been lifted.
Witnesses, motorists with dashcam footage of the area or residents of Norton Summit Rd with CCTV are asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
It comes after a Mount Gambier man died on Friday night when the truck he was driving left the road and crashed into a tree on the Riddoch Highway in Penola, just after 10pm. The 49-year-old died at the scene.
Speaking at a press conference on Saturday announcing new police powers to target drug drivers, Police Assistant Commissioner Ian Parrott said it was “horrendous” 18 lives had been lost.
“It is now the worst start in 10 years to the number of lives lost on South Australian roads,” he said.
