The Advertiser/7NEWS Adelaide update: Tuesday, November 1, 2022

The South Australian Department of Infrastructure and Transport previously asked motorists to seek alternative routes, while emergency services and tow trucks attended the scene.

It follows a multi-vehicle smash on the Port River Expressway at Gillman on Tuesday night that caused the death of a 26-year-old woman from North Haven and injured three others.

The Port River Expressway is closed in both directions between Eastern Parade and Hanson Road, and will remain closed for some time this morning while Major Crash Investigators examine the scene.
