Police track down, charge man with attempted murder after Royal Park shooting

A man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder after a shooting in Adelaide’s northwest on Tuesday night.

A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Adelaide’s northwest on Tuesday night.

Just before midnight, Western District police alongside STAR Group officers swarmed a Croydon Park address and arrested a 44-year-old man without incident.

The man from Croydon Park was charged with attempted murder, failing to answer questions under the Firearms Act and carrying an offensive weapon.

He has been refused bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

The incident is not believed to be random and investigations are continuing.

It all unfolded at a Brandwood St, Royal Park premises around 7.30pm.

Emergency services rushed to address, attending to the 47-year-old victim. He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Dozens of police cordoned off the area and detectives from the crime investigation branch examined the scene.

Pictures show damage to the door of the business. Two people also were seen leaving the premises around 7:30pm.

Shortly after the incident, authorities said they were following positive lines of inquiry and witnesses were talking to police at the scene.
