Police have made a grim discovery at a boat ramp near Elliston, with a report being prepared for the coroner.

A body has been found at a boat ramp on the Eyre Peninsula.

Police were called to the Anxious Bay boat ramp about 10km from Elliston at 1.15pm Saturday after reports a boat was overdue.

A search was initiated and the man’s body located.

Police will now prepare a report for the coroner.

It comes four days after brothers Brian, 76, and Stephen, 74, Innes were rescued from sea off Boatswain Point near Robe when their boat capsized 2km from shore.

The pair, who had been checking cray pots, and their three-legged Jack Russell, Luna, spent seven hours in freezing cold waters before they were rescued.
