Bakery Owner Mark Lawlor told 7News the robbery was “pointless” because the suspects only fled with a ”minimum amount of money”.
Manager David Bowden was relieved no one was injured during the incident.
“I’m just happy that we didn’t have any staff members on site. Generally the bakeries, they do start at mid-night, one o’clock in the morning,” Mr Bowden said.
Around 6am, police received reports that a vehicle had been dumped on Archer Rd at Morphett Vale.
Further checks revealed the same vehicle, believed to have been captured on CCTV during the break-in, was stolen from a Reynella East address on Sunday, June 16.
