Police are investigating after shots were fired during an altercation west of Adelaide.
About 9.30pm Saturday, police were called to Ventura Ave at Taperoo after reports of gunshots.
Police said a disturbance between two groups of people broke out in the street before several gunshots were fired at a small white car.
The suspect fled the scene in a dual cab ute, with both vehicles last seen heading south towards Wandana Tce.
No one was injured in the shooting.
Neighbours Dylan and Marissa Todd heard the shots about 9.30pm but thought their cars were being vandalised.
“I just dismissed that it was gunshots because why would it be?” Ms Todd said.
The shots were believed to be fired about 50m from where their three-year-old daughter Mia and three-month old son Harvey were sleeping.
“Our kids were sleeping just a few metres away,” Ms Todd said.
“It makes you think,” Mr Todd added.
“It’s pretty scary stuff. It’s crazy. It’s a quiet little neighbourhood and we haven’t had any trouble like that before.”
Mr Todd said he saw what he believed was an early 1990s model ute flee the street after the shots were fired.
“I didn’t know it was gunshots until this morning,” Mr Todd said.
He said Ventura Ave was closed off with about eight police vehicles at the scene.
