Three men arrested over ‘violent incident’ near popular shopping strip The Parade

Three eastern suburbs men will face court over a “violent incident” on The Parade at Norwood, with the investigation also uncovering drugs and an illegal handgun.

Three men will face court over a “violent incident” near one of Adelaide’s most popular shopping strips, with the investigation also uncovering drugs and an illegal handgun.

Police allege about 8pm on July 23, members of the public reported an altercation involving a group of men near the intersection of The Parade and Queen St at Norwood.

Police attended but wee unable to find the men believed to be involved.

However, on Thursday, Crime Gangs Task Force members searched a Rosslyn Park property and arrested three men over the incident.

The search allegedly uncovered four ounces of cocaine and a semiautomatic handgun.

Three Rosslyn Park men, aged 28, 37 and 41 were arrested and charged with aggravated assault causing harm over the Norwood incident.

The 37-year-old man was also charged with possessing a firearm without a license and trafficking a commercial quantity of a controlled drug.

He was refused police bail to face the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Thursday.

The 28-year-old man and 41-year-old man were bailed to face the Adelaide Magistrates Court on October 6.
