A 19-year-old man has died after he was hit by a train in North Adelaide.

A young man has died after he was hit by a train at the North Adelaide railway station on Monday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the pedestrian crossing at War Memorial Drive about 1pm.
Just before 2pm, MFS heavy rescue arrived to assist in getting passengers off the train.
Train services on the Gawler line were suspended between Adelaide Railway Station and Mawson Lakes for some time but have since started operating again.
Passengers boarded a substitute bus about 2.15pm after an hour-long wait.
One passenger said they didn’t hear anything and found out on Facebook what had happened.
The man said he was feeling “depressed” after hearing the news.
Another passenger said they initially thought the train must have been stopping for another reason.
Metropolitan Fire Service commander Declan Dwyer said it was important for people to remain vigilant around trains.
He said train passengers were notified about the incident but instructed to stay on-board where it was airconditioned.
“Train control and the staff on the train notified passengers of what had happened,” he said.
“Our crews assisted with the removal of the passengers from the train – we’ve given them some cold water and they’ve got an alternative bus.”
It comes less than two weeks after an 87-year-old overseas tourist was hit and killed by the iconic Cockle Train near Hayward St, McCracken.
The male pedestrian was struck at McCracken, about 80km from Adelaide, during its final journey of the day from Goolwa to Victor Harbor.
Several days later, the Cockle Train and a car collided at Skewes Rd, Goolwa.
The driver of the white Nissan X-Trail was the sole occupant of the car and was taken to hospital as a precaution.
