Paralowie motorcycle rider, 22, charged over Salisbury North crash in July

A 22-year-old man who has never held a licence has been charged with a raft of offences after a serious crash last month.

A motorcycle rider who has never held a licence has been charged over a serious crash at Salisbury North last month.

Police were called to the intersection of Waterloo Corner and Bagster Road after reports of a crash between a Ford Ute, a Holden Sedan and a motorcycle, just after 6.45pm on Wednesday July 26.

A 22-year-old Paralowie man who was riding the motorcycle sustained minor injuries.

His 33-year-old female pillion passenger from Elizabeth South, sustained serious leg injuries, and they were both taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment.

The drivers of the Ford Ute and the Holden Sedan managed to escape the crash without any injuries.

Following an investigation Major Crash investigators went to a Paralowie address on Monday August 15, and arrested the motorcyclist.

In a statement, police said he was charged with “aggravated cause harm by dangerous driving, aggravated careless driving, driving without due car, theft, illegal use of a motor vehicle, driving unlicensed (never held) and displaying an unassigned number plated”.

The Paralowie man did not apply for bail and is set to face the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
