17-year-old teenager from regional town Senior dies in rollover crash

A teenager has tragically died following a fatal crash near Bordertown on Tuesday night.

A teenager has died in a regional town in the state’s South-East, following a horror crash on Tuesday night.

At about 6.45pm, police rushed to Senior Rd, almost 17km from Bordertown after reports a vehicle was involved in a single crash rollover.

The driver, a 17-year-old boy from Senior who was driving a Toyota HiLux, died at the scene.

Major Crash Investigators will be travelling from Adelaide to Senior to examine the circumstances that led up to the crash.

The teenager’s death is the 74th life lost of our state’s roads, compared to 46 at the same time last year.

Loved ones of the teenager have began pouring sharing touching tributes to the 17-year-old.

“Deepest condolences to his family. Was a great kid with a positive attitude. Gone way too soon. RIP champ,” Amber McLaine wrote on Facebook.

On Sunday, a 85-year-old woman died at the scene, following a crash near Funrer in the state’s South East.

Emergency services were called to Conmurra Rd, Furner, after a Toyota Sedan rolled just before 2.45pm.

As investigations in to the fatal crash continue, police are urging anyone with dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
