Out of control car ploughs through Port Adelaide Enfield Christmas Pageant
Bystanders have been treated by paramedics and a driver taken to hospital after a car crashed into the crowd at festive celebration.

An out-of-control car has ploughed through the Port Adelaide Enfield Christmas Parade, narrowly avoiding disaster.
Witnesses say a car went through a barrier near the starting area before driving through the crowd and crashing into a fence moments before the event was set to start, according to Nine News.
Paramedics treated multiple bystanders for shock and the 57 year old driver, a woman from Salisbury was taken to hospital for observation at around 11am.
“I was just worried more than anything that people had been hit because the car just came crashing through and I though someone had definitely been hit,” witness Trent Smith told Nine News.

“A woman had hit the accelerator instead of the brake and went flying through the gate, there was nothing intentionally about it and the lady in car she was really shaken up, I could see her hands shaking in the car from where I was.”
Marchers from the Royal Society from the Blind were metres from the vehicle which reached speeds of up to 60km/h according to Nine News.
“I think it did go through them and I don’t even know how they even jumped out of the way by they apparently did,” witness Banca Smith said.
“My husband just actually swore because there was a massive bang and he ran towards it and we didn’t really know what was going on,” witness Banca Smith witness told Nine New
The parade and street party was able to go on with a 20 minute delay.
