Nicole Wilson, 49, succumbed to her injuries on Wednesday morning, after being in a coma for a month at the Royal Adelaide Hospital following the crash.

Ms Wilson was struck by a car on McIntyre Rd, near her Salisbury East home, about 6.50pm on March 27.

McIntyre Rd resident Natalie Hattam told 7NEWS she tried to reassure Ms Wilson at the scene of the crash that “help was on the way and that she had people around her looking out for her”.

“That was the most important thing because she would have been terrified,” she said.

“It all happened so quickly.

Ms Wilson’s neighbours said she crossed the stretch of McIntyre Rd near her home daily.
