A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision with a car at Parafield on Saturday.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Kings and Main North roads after reports a car and motorcycle had collided about 6.40am.
The rider, a 27-year-old Mawson Lakes man was taken to hospital with “serious injuries”.
The driver of the sedan, a 58-year-old Salisbury East man was not injured.
Major crash officers attended the scene with road closures put in place on Main North Rd. Detours have since been lifted.
Pedestrian struck by car
A woman is in critical condition after being struck by a car in Port Elliot on Friday.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of North Terrace and Charteris St after a Holden ute and a Hyundai sedan collided at the intersection before 3pm.
The collision sent one vehicle into a bus shelter where a female pedestrian was struck.
The 54-year-old Encounter Bay woman was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
At this time, her injuries are no longer considered life threatening.
The drivers, a 55-year-old Encounter Bay woman and a 19-year-old Sheidow Park woman, were not injured in the crash.
Major Crash investigators attended the scene to assist the investigation.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Driver’s lucky escape after crash
A driver had a miraculous escape after his car rolled in the Yorke Peninsula.
Emergency services were alerted to a car roll over on Beach Rd, Coobowie on Friday at 7.30pm.
The driver, a 35-year-old local man, was extracted from the vehicle and taken to hospital for treatment.
His injuries are not considered life threatening.
Investigations into the crash are continuing.
