Motorcyclist allegedly high on meth caught speeding on South Eastern Freeway
An unlicensed motorcyclist has taken a wild ride on the South Eastern Freeway – allegedly reaching more than 100km/h in a 40km/h zone while high on drugs. Watch the press conference.

A motorcyclist has been spotted in multiple locations driving up to 90km/h over the speed limit, while unregistered, unlicensed, high and in possession of drugs, police say.
The 30-year-old man from Balhannah was originally seen on a Honda motorcycle by patrol vehicles just before 8pm, allegedly travelling 155km/h in a 110km/h zone on the South Eastern Freeway.

Police did not pursue at the time for safety concerns, but the rider was later reported travelling at 100km/h through roadworks in the Heysen Tunnel where speeds were reduced to 40km/h.
Police caught up with the rider at a service station on the corner of Portrush Rd and Glen Osmond Rd a short time later.

Police say the bike was out of registration, and the motorbike licence had expired.
A drug test returned a positive reading for methamphetamine, they say.
A physical search was conducted and the rider was found to be in possession of drugs, suspected to be methamphetamine and another thought to be the drug fantasy.
The motorcyclist has been reported for driving at excessive speed, speed dangerous, manner dangerous, expired licence, unregistered and uninsured vehicle, possessing a controlled drug and drug driving.
He has been summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
The Honda motorcycle was impounded for 28 days and the rider received an instant loss of licence for 12 months.
Also on Wednesday night, a drunk driver almost two times over the limit flipped his car, while in a separate incident a BMW driver was spotted going double the legal speed limit.
