A motorcyclist riding through the western suburbs on Wednesday morning has had a lucky escape after ending up underneath a car.
The 28-year-old man was riding his bike on Sir Donald Bradman Drive in Cowandilla, close to Adelaide Airport, when he lost control of the bike, colliding with a tree and then a car parked in the front yard of a house.
Emergency services were notified just before 5am on Wednesday that a motorbike rider was trapped under a car.
Police said the man hit the tree first before crashing into the car, sliding underneath the vehicle.
He was taken to hospital with injuries believed to be non life-threatening.
Police said there was “some damage” to the parked car and also to the motorbike.
A sample of the man’s blood was taken at the hospital and is currently being tested for alcohol and drugs.
