Developers of the Parafield District Outlet Centre are already exploring plans to expand the facility just a month after its official opening.

More than 227,000 people have already walked through the doors at the centre - adjacent to the Parafield Airport - since it opened on July 1.

Plans are now underway to significantly increase the size of the centre, making it bigger than the district outlet precinct at Harbour Town.

Western Australia based developer Devwest is behind the possible expansion that would add another 15,000sqm to the centre.

The centre is already home to 55 major retail stores offering discounts greater than 20 per cent on their products.

Thousands flocked to the centre for the grand opening last month with many stores offering additional incentives for savvy shoppers to celebrate.
