Police found Scarlett, 15, who went missing from Rapid Bay

The desperate search for missing 15-year-old teenager at Rapid Bay has come to a happy end with the teenager found safe and well.

A teenager missing for almost 24 hours in freezing conditions on the west coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula has been found.

Police and family were frantically searching for the missing 15-year-old teenager,

who was last seen at Rapid Bay, west of the Fleurieu Peninsula.

The teenager, Scarlett, went missing about 12.30pm on Sunday, and by Monday just after 7.30am, police said she was “located safe and well”.

Scarlett was described as being of caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, long brown hair.

She was wearing a green jumper, black jacket, and Converse or Vans-style shoes, when she was reported missing.

Earlier, police said they had concerns for her welfare, but did not disclosed anymore information about the circumstance around the incident after she was found.
