Man, 29, flown to hospital after crashing into a tree at Korunye

Police have launched an investigation after a man crashed into a tree north of Two Wells last night.

A man has sustained serious injuries after crashing at Korunye last night.

Emergency services were alerted to a crash on Mallala Road involving a Holden station wagon leaving the road and crashing into a tree around 7.30pm yesterday.

The driver and sole occupant of the car, a 29-year-old man from Direk, sustained serious injuries in the crash and was airlifted to Adelaide for treatment.

His injuries are not considered to be life-threatening at this time.

Mallala Road was closed from Korunye to Forby Road while Major Crash investigators examined the scene, however it has since reopened.

Police urge anyone with information on the crash to come forward.
