Man, 22 arrested after falling from pub roof in Adelaide CBD and ending up in hospital

A man has been arrested and ended up in hospital, after he allegedly climbed on top of a hotel roof in Adelaide’s CBD in the early hours of Tuesday morning, before injuring himself on the way down.
At about 5.15am, police and emergency services were called to the Griffins Hotel, Grenfell St, to reports that a man was on the roof and was attempting to climb back down to street level.
Police said the man allegedly attempted to jump onto a hotel umbrella, however it collapsed, and he fell through onto the ground.
The man, a 22-year-old from Elizabeth Grove, suffered leg injuries and was taken to hospital where he was treated.
He was arrested for property damage and being unlawfully on premises.
