The driver eventually handed herself into the Elizabeth Police Station.
She was questioned by Major Crash officers and charged with cause death by dangerous driving, aggravated driving without due care and leaving the scene of a crash after causing death.
“It’s the lowest thing you could do really at least give him the respect of pulling over and helping,” Mr Coburn said
The woman will face the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on October 23, after being granted police bail.
Her Holden station wagon was also towed from her home for forensic examination.
Resident Michael Dean said he heard a loud thud when the crash occurred.

As police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the man’s death, they are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers.
The man’s death is the 77th on our state’s roads this year, compared to 48 at the same time last year.
