Broadcaster Jodie Oddy is making a surprise radio comeback, following her shock exit from Mix 102.3.
And she’s going to be heard on one of the station’s biggest rivals.
Next week, Oddy will be filling in for Nova 919’s breakfast newsreader, Taylee Jones, who is on holidays.
In November, Oddy, who had worked at Mix for 13 years resigned effective immediately.
Both she and the station did not reveal the reason for her departure, with Oddy telling The Advertiser she was unable to comment for legal reasons.
The five-day relief role at Nova means Oddy will be heard on the Ben & Liam breakfast show next week. The program is one of Mix’s closest competitors in the all-important timeslot.
Oddy co-hosted Mix’s brekky show, which Mark Soderstrom now presents with AFLW star Erin Phillips, who paid tribute on-air to her predecessor on Monday morning.
In the most recent radio ratings survey, Mix and another rival, Triple M, shared the No 1 FM breakfast show spot with 10.6. Nova was runner-up on the FM dial with 9.7, followed by SAFM with 8.0.
During her 13 years with Mix, Oddy clocked up 82 FM breakfast radio ratings wins.
