Lea Hockley says dog owner ‘just left’ after vicious Munno Para attack
A woman attacked by a dog at Munno Para says she hopes police can find the owner of the animal, who just walked away as she suffered a brutal injury.

A woman has been left bloodied and bruised after she was viciously attacked by an unknown dog as its owner walked away, 7News reports.
The victim, Lea Hockley, said she spent a night in emergency department after the dog bit into her arm around 6pm on Monday before its owner “just left”.
Ms Hockley sustained a shocking arm injury and only narrowly managed to escape.
“The black dog leapt out and grabbed me by the arm, and dragged me to the ground,” Ms Hockley told 7 News.
“I literally had to rip my arm out of the dog’s mouth.
Ms Hockley said she had been walking with her dog Trixie around the Curtis Wetlands park at Munno Park, and said the attacking dog’s owner continued to keep walking with her children during the attack.
“To be attacked like then, and then just left …” Ms Hockley told 7 News.
Ms Hockley said she could not identify the type of dog involved in the attack but had reported the incident to police in hopes of tracking down the dog before it attacked another person.
“If it had to be one of my grandchildren, they would have no way of getting out of that situation,” Ms Hockley told 7 News.
Ms Hockley’s said her beloved bereavement dog did not sustain any injures during the attack.
“She could have been severely injured yesterday, it’s just heartbreaking, ” Ms Hockley said.
