Olivia Molly Rogers doesn’t plan to sit around idle after her divorce last year, with hopes the Adelaide-born beauty queen’s new boyfriend will travel with her overseas.

Olivia Molly Rogers does not want to “waste any time” following her devastating divorce last year.

With a new lease of life, despite a “rough” 2022, the Adelaide-born beauty queen is continuing to take life by the horns with plans to travel the world this year, including one trip with her new partner.

“Going through what I went through last year it was kind of my plan, on the other side of it, to just focus on me and the things that I really want to do,” the former Miss Universe Australia told The Advertiser.

“I want to put my time into (me) and make memories moving forward and not to waste any time with anything that doesn’t bring me joy.”

Rogers, who has partnered with one of the world’s leading travel search engines KAYAK, has plans to “escape the Melbourne winter” and head to Bali for four weeks this year.

This trip will be the influencer’s eighth time to the Indonesian island but the longest time she has spent there consecutively.

With plans to travel there solo, Rogers is inviting family, friends and her new beau, model, Morgan Waterhouse, to visit her while she’s there.

When asked if a proposal between the lovebirds is imminent – perhaps while in Bali – Rogers is quick to dismiss the idea.

“No still early days … things will be happening slowly … we are not there yet,” she said while laughing.

“He’s a lovely guy, we’re just enjoying each others company.

“It’s nice to have a nice boy around – I’m feeling really grateful at the moment.”

She also plans to visit Japan with her family for Christmas to see her brother who moved there at the beginning of the year. It’s not yet confirmed if Waterhouse, who hasn’t yet made the trip to Rogers’ hometown in Adelaide, will attend the trip.

Almost 90 per cent of Australians believe travel has played a role in shaping who they are.

For Rogers working at an American summer camp in 2010, when she was 18, was one of those trips.

“I’ve been lucky enough to travel a lot,” she said.

“When I went to summer camp…in New Hampshire – I was a lifeguard there.

“I taught kids how to swim and water ski. I made all these amazing friends from overseas who I’m still in touch with, that’s definitely a standout to me.”

That same year Rogers jumped out of a plane on a trip to Interlaken in Switzerland.

“That was amazing … incredible,” she said.

For Rogers, taking photos has been one of the ways she’s remembered her time overseas.

“When I was younger, I would always be the one who brought a digital camera,” she said.

In the lead-up to her overseas trips Rogers spoke to KAYAK’s memory expert Anastasia Woolmer who told her to jot down four dot points of what she got up to each day.

“When I did a Europe trip when I was younger we would everyday go around at dinner time and talk about our orange and lemon of the day, orange being the highlight and lemon being a negative and that was a really good way of solidifying memories as well,” she said.

“I feel like its often the funny weird things that happen that might be bad at the time that end up making the best stories or the funnies memories.”
