Fundraiser to help pay for Adelaide brothel madam Stormy Summers’ funeral costs
A crowd-funding page has been started to help pay for the funeral costs of Adelaide brothel madam Stormy Summers, who died with “next to nothing”.

Adelaide’s most famous madam, Stormy Summers, will be laid to rest later this week but her friends and family need help to pay for the funeral.
Stormy passed away at the Lyell McEwin Hospital after a short illness, on March 17, three days short of her 78th birthday.
She was a controversial brothel owner with close bikie and underworld links who audaciously ran for lord Mayor and parliament and had occasional run ins with police.
Close friend Jacquie Wong says while Stormy lived the high life for a time, she died with next to nothing.
A Go Fund Me Page has been set up in the hope of raising $11,000 for the Centennial Park funeral, by Friday.
Jacquie has also put in a request to Premier Peter Malinauskas for the State Government to fund part of the funeral.
“We’re all trying to pull together for someone that we love and someone that we cared for,” Jacquie said.
“She had barely enough money to feed her and her dog. She was on the pension, in a housing trust home which she felt very blessed to have, living from fortnight to fortnight.
“It broke my heart when I heard she’d died, because I thought, who is going to pay?”
The Go Fund Me page says Stormy was “robbed of everything towards the end of her long and illustrious career as Adelaide’s best-known Madam where she then lived quietly in retirement with very little finances and trappings of her previous life”.
“She was much loved in our city of Adelaide and very much appreciated for her generosity, kindness and good spirit.
“Her help for the homeless is often recalled with gratitude, especially from those who were at the receiving end.
“This appeal seeks funds for Stormy’s funeral for a fitting celebration of her amazing life. – a send-off filled with heartfelt love, care and beauty so she can rest in peace with her beloved mother and her adored son Jason at Centennial Park.”
The funeral, which is open to the public, will be held in Centennial Park’s Heysen Chapel at 3.30pm on Friday.
