A man has been arrested after driving at eye-watering speeds – with two young children in the car – at Gepps Cross.
On Thursday about 4.40pm, police were conducting speed detection duties in Grand Junction Rd when they spotted a black Jeep travelling at 131km/h in a 60km/h zone.
Police were able to stop the car and speak to the driver, who was a 41-year-old man from Gawler South.
The patrols’ main concern were the two children under the age of 10 in the car.
The man was reported for driving at extreme speed, he lost his licence on the spot for 12 months and his car was impounded for 28 days.
He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
