AFLW superstar Erin Phillips has taken to Instagram to welcome her fourth child whom she shares with wife Tracy.
“And then there were 4!” the Port Adelaide player captioned her post.
“Welcome to the world baby girl … we love you more than you can imagine.”
The pair, who wed in 2014, named their fourth child Londyn Skye Phillips.
“Our family is complete,” Phillips wrote.
The 38-year-old shared the exciting news posting a black and white image of her and her wife in hospital holding their new baby.
The post was the first the public heard the couple were expecting another child.
Fellow AFLW player Danielle Ponter commented on the post “yay, congratulations fam. Can’t wait to meet her!” while Sarah Perkins wrote “little B is going to be so happy she (has a) little sister”.
Media personality Abbey Holmes commented “so happy for you”.
“Can’t wait to meet her soon,” wrote expectant mum and AFLW player Marijana Rajčić.
Londyn is the younger sibling of twins Blake and Brooklyn and the pair’s third child Drew.
News of Londyn’s birth comes a week after AFLW clubs around Australia begin their pre-season without a start date or pay deal.
The start of the AFLW season will be the first weekend of September but who plays who, when and where remains unknown.
“Obviously, it’s not ideal,” Phillips told NCA Newswire on Monday as the 38-year-old began pre-season training with Port Adelaide.
“But it’s not something we’re thinking about.
“We know roughly about when the season most likely will start and that will probably be, from what I hear is that (AFL men’s) bye weekend in August, September.
“And that‘s all we’re really focusing on at the moment … we have got 12 weeks at the moment to get as good as we can in that time and get ready to play our first game.
“So, control the things that you can control and we’re certainly doing that.”
