A western suburbs man has died after a horrific serious single-vehicle crash, about 40km north of Adelaide on Thursday afternoon.

A western suburbs man has died after a horrifying crash at Two Wells, about 40km north of Adelaide, on Thursday afternoon.

Emergency services rushed to Old Port Wakefield Rd just after 5pm, after reports of a car left the road and crashed into a tree.

The 56-year-old Findon man, who was the only occupant of his Holden sedan, sadly died at the scene, despite the efforts of members of the public and emergency services.

He is the 21st life lost on SA roads this year.

Major Crash officers attended the scene to determine the circumstances that led up to the crash.

Old Port Wakefield Rd was closed to all traffic between Bailey Rd/Dawkins Rd and Artesian Rd, while emergency services attended the scene.

Police are urging the public to take care on the roads this Easter long weekend.
