Roads reopened after male pedestrian hit by car on Hanson Rd, Woodville Gardens

A 75-year-old man has been hit by a car on a busy north-western suburbs road, roads now reopened.

A man was rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in Adelaide’s north-western suburbs on Friday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Hanson Rd and First Ave, Woodville Gardens after reports that a pedestrian had been hit by a car, just before 1.50pm.

The 75-year-old was taken to The Royal Adelaide Hospital with significant but non-life threatening injuries, SA Ambulance said.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured.

Southbound traffic on Hanson Rd was closed to all traffic but have since reopened.

As investigations into the incident continue, police are urging anyone who may have dashcam footage, or may have witnessed the crash, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
