Daneel Gailey has been identified as the motorcyclist killed in a horrific Aldinga crash

A 21-year-old man is being remembered as a “beautiful young man” after losing his life in a horrific collision in the state’s south.

Daneel Gailey has been identified as the young motorbike rider who lost his life following a horror crash in Aldinga.

On Tuesday, emergency services were called to the intersection of Main South Road and Malpas Road just after 4.30pm after reports of a collision between a car and motorcyclist.

The rider Daneel Gailey – affectionately known as Danny – was flown to the Royal Adelaide Hospital, but he died on Thursday.

Tributes have begun for the 21-year-old who is being remembered as a ‘beautiful young man’.

Family friend Ally Modra said Danny had a big future ahead of him – were it not for his tragic death.

“Danny was a vibrant, caring and loving young man with a bright future ahead of him, loved by all who knew him,” she wrote on the GoFundMe page.

Ms Modra also extended her condolences to the mum Lena Murav’eva who had the heart wrenching task of saying farewell to her only child.

“(Danny) was the only child of Lena … it has always been the two of them, through the good times and the bad,” Ms Modra wrote.

“(Lena) loved and supported him from the day he was born and was by his bedside holding his hand when he passed.

“No parent should ever have to go through this pain … his untimely death has left a profound void in the hearts of his family and friends.”

Ms Modra has set up a GoFundMe to support Lena Murav’eva with funeral expenses.

The young man’s death is the 38th life lost on South Australian roads this year.
