Cocaine Cassie shares wedding photos, makes drug ring confession in exclusive interview

Cassie Sainsbury has shared her intimate wedding photos and made a stunning confession involving her drug conviction, in an exclusive TV interview.

‘Cocaine Cassie’ has detailed her role in an international drug operation for the first time since she was caught attempting to smuggle almost six kilograms of cocaine out of Colombia in 2017.

Aussie Cassie Sainsbury also shared pictures from her beachside wedding to Colombian wife Tatiana earlier this year, during an exclusive interview with 7NEWS Spotlight.

Sainsbury was found guilty of attempting to smuggle 5.8 kilograms of cocaine inside headphone boxes, and sentenced to six years inside Colombia’s Bogata Prison before being granted early release in 2020.

Sitting down with Channel 7’s Ross Coulthart, Sainsbury said she was involved in the drug ring before leaving Australia, while doing what she thought was delivery work.

“He told me that the job was basically taking envelopes of documents into the city, to his clients,” Sainsbury said.

Sainsbury shared her intimate wedding photos with 7NEWS Spotlight.

“In a week it could have been two or three times, or it could have been to the next extreme and being up to 10, 15 times.

“There's one that really stood out to me because I thought it was almost weird was an orthodontist where they do braces and that sort of stuff.”

Sainsbury was caught smuggling cocaine out of Colombia in 2017.

She was sentenced to six years behind bars but released early in 2020.

Sainsbury revealed she gave information about the drug operation to Australian Federal Police after her arrest in Colombia, but believes no one else was ever charged.

“I gave them everything, everything,” Sainsbury said. “I told them what had happened from the very beginning. I told them that it was very likely associated with the brothel in Sydney. And I was told that they were going to investigate.”

Coulthart asked: “To your knowledge, has there been a federal police investigation into what you've told them about that brothel in Sydney?”

“No,” Sainsbury responded.

The former personal trainer has been working to rebuild her life after her release from prison, marrying 33-year-old computer technician Tatiana in March.
