CFS training centre completely destroyed by blaze on Christmas Day in state’s South-East
A CFS training centre has been destroyed in a Christmas Day blaze – leaving about half a million dollars worth of damage.

A Country Fire Services training centre in the state’s South East has been completely destroyed by a fire on Christmas Day, leaving about half a million dollars worth of damage.
CFS crews were called to a fire at their regional training facility centre on Menhennits Road, Wild Dog Valley, about 1.30pm on Monday.
Firefighters arrived to find parts of the building, which is used as a training shed for fire fighting breathing apparatus, had engulfed in flames.
Four CFS crews using a bulk water carrier managed to fully extinguish the blaze with the help of about 17 CFS volunteers.

The structure of the building and the context inside was completely destroyed, however they managed to save the nearby shed and transportable building.
The fire caused about $500,000 worth of damage
Fire investigators will be attending the scene on Tuesday morning to determine the cause of the fire.
Crews were also supported by SA Police and SA Ambulance while they were battling the blaze.
