Two thieves who crashed into a Blackwood bottle shop before fleeing with stolen bottles of alcohol remain on the run 24 hours after the incident.
Police have released CCTV in a bid to find the two suspects who they now say set fire to a stolen car shortly after the ram raid on Tuesday morning. .
Police responded to an activated alarm at Cellarbrations on Main Rd about 12.45am Tuesday, where they found the front of the store badly damaged.
A member of the public reported seeing two people run from the store at the time of the incident.
In the video, a car can bee seen crashing into the building before driving off, and a man in a grey hooded jumper and cap is seen grabbing bottles before running out.
He returned to grab more bottles and another man in black jumper and black cap followed, also stealing booze.
After searching the area, patrols found a Mitsubishi SUV with significant front end damage on fire on nearby Red Rd.
After crews contained the blaze the SUV was destroyed.
The car had been stolen from Evandale on Monday evening, and was used to force entry into the front of the shop, and police believe there was a second vehicle involved which may have picked up the suspects.
The suspects remain on the run.
