Boy suffers fractured foot after accident with cucumber wrapping machine

A boy has been taken to hospital after his foot was crushed under a machine for wrapping cucumbers.
At 11.45am on Wednesday, ambulance and rescue crews were dispatched to a factory site in Virginia.
An SA ambulance spokeswoman said the boy had suffered a fractured foot and he was taken to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
Shortly after that in the inner-south, a man suffered serious head injuries also due to a workplace accident.
Just after 12pm, emergency crews were called to an engineering firm in Edwardstown and took a man in his 20s to Flinders Medical Centre.
SafeWork SA is investigating the circumstances.
