Bikie Kyle Lloyd Pryde nabbed for De Ieso murder appears in court

High-profile Hells Angels bikie Kyle Lloyd Pryde has appeared in court after he was extradited back to Adelaide from Queensland last night, charged with the murder of Jason De Ieso.

The murder of Jason De Ieso

The seventh man arrested in relation to the cold case murder of innocent panel beater Jason De Ieso in 2012 has appeared in court.

Kyle Lloyd Pryde was extradited back to South Australia, arriving in Adelaide flanked by police on a commercial flight on Thursday night after handing himself into police in Queensland on Tuesday.

He appeared briefly in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Friday flanked by two sheriffs officers.

Frank Barbaro, for Pryde, told the court his client did not intend to apply for bail “at this stage” but would “consider that in due course”.

A warrant had been issued for his arrest on August 26 and police publicly identified him as a suspect on September 11.

Detectives were uncertain if Pryde, who lived at Newton, had fled SA or sought refuge from underworld associates.

He is charged with Mr De Ieso’s murder, along with five other men — brothers Musa Ali Alzuain, Husain Ali Alzuain, Mohamed Ali Alzuain, and Ross William Montgomery and Daniel Mark Jalleh.

A sixth man — Jake Byron Martin-Herde, 31, of Salisbury Downs — is charged with one count of assisting an offender over the murder.

Prosecutors withdrew a charge of assisting an offender against a 26-year-old Reynella woman, whose identity remains suppressed. None of the accused have entered pleas.

They are due back in court in December.

Mr De Ieso, 33, was shot dead in his Pooraka workshop, Unique Custom Paint and Panel, on November 21, 2012.

CCTV footage from the workshop, previously released by police, shows nine men walking towards the front of the business on the day he was shot.

Police allege each of the men charged with murder are all current or former members or associates of the Hells Angels.

They further allege Mr De Ieso was an innocent bystander and the shooting was the culmination of an escalating feud between the Hells Angels North Crew and Finks bikies.

Mr De Ieso was not a bikie but was friends with a man connected to the Finks.

Police previously said at least six of the men were carrying guns and that they were hoping to make further arrests.
