Loved ones of a man killed in a truck crash in the Adelaide Hills on Saturday have left heartwarming tributes to the father of four.

The 44-year-old man, Adam Svokos from Klemzig, was a passenger in a truck involved in a serious crash at Torrens Hill Rd at Millbrook on Saturday morning.

Emergency services were called to the Adelaide Hills road around 8.30am where it had crashed into a tree and guardrail.

Two people were cut from the truck.

The male driver, 46, did not sustain any serious injuries, but Mr Svokos died at the scene.

The mother to two of Mr Svokos’ children, Catherine Kadow, posted a heartwarming tribute on social media for “the love of (her) life,” after the tragedy.

“I’ll never forget you Adam, and I’m glad I got the chance to know you over the past 20 years,” Ms Kadow wrote.

“I’ll always be there for our two children, I’ll always love you and I’ll always treasure what we had together.”

Ms Kadow said Mr Svokos “means the world,” to her and she was heartbroken she would “never get the chance to see his face again”.

“Adam was a great dad to all four of my children, he will be missed by everyone,” she wrote.

“We will meet again, Adam. All my love”.

Following tribute post, friends and family left messages of support, including Amanda White, who wrote: “I’m here for you sis, my heart goes out to you and my nieces and nephew.”

“RIP Adam, you will be missed, love always Aunty Amanda,” Ms White wrote on another comment.

Friend Marissa Kittel wrote: “So very sad and unexpected … a life taken too soon. Here for you and your family”.

After the fatal single-vehicle crash, the 46-year-old male driver of the truck was taken to Modbury Hospital and released later in the day.

He was later charged with causing death by dangerous driving, and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
