TikTok users have heaped praise on a group of Adelaide women, who were caught on camera breaking up a wild brawl at a suburban shopping centre.

The clip, which was shared to the platform on Wednesday night, showed a group of teens break out in a scuffle along a walkway inside Westfield Tea Tree Plaza.

They then run into the Mimco store, where they were recorded throwing punches at one another.

But the fight was quickly interrupted by a group of middle-aged women, who sprang into action to help.

One woman dressed in black is shown in the footage running towards the store as the fight breaks out.

She can then be seen positioning herself between the fighting teens, who had by this stage pulled the clothes off each other’s backs.

“That lady in black deserves a medal,” one user wrote under footage of the incident.

Another woman can be seen pushing her trolley toward the store before abandoning her shopping to break up the melee.

She bravely entered the store to close its doors and stop the fracas from spilling into the centre.

“Love all the ladies running to help,” one TikToker wrote.

“Random mums to the rescue,” another added.

SA police attended the scene and are investigating the incident.

No charges have so far been laid.

Westfield centre management has been contacted for comment.

Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees Association SA secretary Josh Peak said anti-social behaviour had “no place” in shopping centres.

“Shopping centres should be safe places for customers and workers,” he said in a statement.

He urged the government to pass Workplace Protection Order laws to deal with incidents such as these.

“Security levels continue to be an area of concern for our members and a comprehensive review into security at major shopping centres must be conducted,” he said.

“We must be looking at providing better training and stronger powers for security guards to ensure no one is put at risk.”
