The following month a Smithfield Plains property was searched and a further 225 plants were located.

At about 5pm Saturday, police were called to a house fire on Fairfield Tce at Elizabeth Grove where they found 189 cannabis plants and kilograms of dried weed.

The stash was linked to the already arrested man, and a further raid of an Elizabeth North home uncovered 237 cannabis plants being grown.

The man of no fixed address, 30, was charged with three counts of cultivating a large commercial quantity of a controlled drug and two counts of trafficking a large commercial quantity of a controlled drug.

He was refused bail to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday.
