Deputy Premier Susan Close has labelled a motorbike rider performing stunts on a busy road a “bloody idiot” as police hunt for the daredevil.
Dr Close called for police to find the unidentified motorcyclist after he was filmed performing stunts on the North-South Motorway.
Video shows the rider lifting the front wheel of the motorbike in the air for extended periods of time in a “shocking display” at about 6pm on Saturday.
“It’s absolutely shocking that someone would think that that was an okay thing to do on a public roadway or in fact anywhere,” Dr Close told 7NEWS.
She has referred the matter to Police Minister Joe Szakacs.
“I’ve spoken already to the Police Minister who is very interested in seeing if we can work out who that is,” Dr Close said.
“Don’t be a bloody idiot on the road”.
