49-year-old man arrested after heap of firearms found at Mawson Lakes home
Police have found a hoard of firearms at a home in the state’s northern suburbs.

A 49-year-old man has been arrested after a stockpile of firearms was seized from a Mawson Lakes home over the weekend.
Following an investigation, Northern District police searched the home on Saturday and found 20 gel blaster firearms, 25 gel blaster magazines and nine rounds of live ammunition.
Police also found and seized a homemade bong and around 25g of dried cannabis.
The man was then arrested and charged with possessing a firearm without a licence, possessing an unregistered firearm and possessing a prohibited weapon.
He was refused bail and faced Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Monday. The man was remanded to reappear on August 20.
