A 15-year-old girl has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car, with the woman behind the wheel allegedly blowing more than four times the legal limit.
Emergency services were called to Ernest Dr at Happy Valley about 2.15pm Thursday after reports a pedestrian had been hit by a car that had mounted the kerb.
Police said the girl was taken to Flinders Medical Centre for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of a Mitsubishi sedan, a 28-year-old Woodville West woman, was breath tested at the scene and allegedly returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.223.
She was reported for drink driving and driving without due care.
Her license was suspended for 12 months, her car was impounded and she will be summonsed to court at a later date.
