Brisbane set for another drenching after 100mm falls on Tuesday, weather bureau warns
More than 100mm of rain could fall in parts of Queensland after a slow-moving system dumped 100mm on the southeast yesterday, triggering flash flooding in Brisbane.

Mulitple roads across the region have been submerged by floodwaters as Queensland continues to be soaked by widespread rainfall.
A low pressure trough extending across Queensland saw widespread rain across much of the state yesterday, with more rainfall forecast today.
The highest rainfall totals were in the southeast with Caboolture recording 97mm, Woody Point 87mm, Rothwell 84mm, Deception Bay 77mm, and Redcliffe with 66mm.
Eumundi, near Noosa, recorded 105mm.
Since 9am this morning, the bulk of the falls have been reported on the Sunshine Coast, with 30mm at Mt Tinbeerwah, 27mm at Lake MacDonald Dam, and 25mm at Pomona.
Multiple roads across the region have been submerged by floodwaters.
The inclement weather also resulted in a tree falling onto a car at Coolum, as well as spreading debris and vegetation along the broader coast.
Outside of the southeast, 77mm fell at Well Water near Charleville, while 70mm fell at Caroline Crossing near Augathella.
Today, South East Queensland is forecast to see 10-25mm, while maximum temperatures will be 6-10C below average.
Brisbane is forecast to hit 22C, Laidley 21C, Toowoomba 17C, Stanthorpe 18C, Warwick 20C, St George 21C, and Roma 23C.
Bureau of Meteorology senior meteorologist Dean Narramore said Central Queensland would be the focus of wet weather today.
“We’re looking at widespread lights of moderate rain continuing through much of South East Queensland, extending from the Maranoa, Warrego, Charleville, and Roma area, through the Darling Downs and into South East Queensland, although this rain will ease to showers as we get into the late afternoon and evening,” Mr Narramore said.
“Our focus will shift north towards the central coast of Gulf Queensland, between about
Rockhampton and Bowen, where we could see showers and rain tonight, and could see widespread rain up there again tomorrow.
“Around the coastal areas, we could see some pretty wet conditions of maybe up to 50-100mm, with isolated higher falls.
“In South East Queensland, we are looking at about another 10-25mm today, we could see isolated heavier falls, but not expecting anything too high end or severe today in South East Queensland.
“Today we’re looking at maximum temperatures between 6-10C below average across much of south eastern and southern inland Queensland.
“So temperatures are going to be in the low 20s rather than the low 30s for this time of year.”
